Eve Lom launches make-up range

— by Alyson Walsh

Even a beauty amateur like myself knows that Eve Lom’s new make-up range is worth getting excited about. Two years in the making, this collection of Radiance
Perfecting Complexion Products (yep, that’s a bit of a mouthful)
launched at Space NK this week. At a short introductory workshop, I met Eve
Lom’s gorgeous product director
Amandine Isnard who announced, ‘This is not really make-up, this is advanced
skincare with colour.’ Which sums it up nicely. I posted a couple of pictures of the event on
Instagram and one of my followers asked for a review. So, here by popular
demand…

Amandine behind the beauty counter.

With a deft flick of her brush, Amandine gave me a very swift makeover and the results were fantastic. Even Mr That’s Not My Age noticed the difference. Well, he asked if I was wearing lipstick. I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to make-up. I don’t like
wearing stuff on my skin everyday but have reached an age where I need
to do something about the dark spots, age spots, whatever you call them.
And the Eve Lom Radiance Perfected Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 15 is easy to apply (I haven’t bought the brush yet – still using fingers, don’t tell Amandine), feels light on the skin and provides decent coverage. As well as UVA/UVB protection the tinted moisturiser contains raspberry stem cells – technical name: BerryFlux Vita – and brightening lily extract. At £48 it’s not cheap, but my annual make-up spend is so low I really don’t mind splurging on a superior product every now and then. And it’s cheaper than Botox. Not that I’d ever do that…

Radiance Perfected Tinted Moisturiser, £48

Foundation Brush, £32

I’m even thinking of trying the primer…

Flawless Radiance Primer, £40

It is The Year of Grown-Up Glamour, after all.
