Famous women on getting older
The Queen always reminds me of my mum. Same cauliflower hairdo. Anyhow, Her Maj was 89 this week and I like this quote from the Red online feature, Famous Women on Getting Older:
‘Don’t retouch my wrinkles in the photograph, I would not want it to be thought that I had lived for all these years without having anything to show for it.’
This fantastic portrait is by 77-year-old David Bailey.

One of the few leaders in the world that acts like a grwnup. I admire her tremendously.

Zannie – quite recent. This portrait was taken last year for the Queen's 88th birthday.
The Queen has always been a pretty lady and it is good to see her smile, wrinkles and all.
Lovely – what a grand lady she is! I can't wait to see the new film about the night Lilbet and Mags get to escape the role of being princesses for one night during WWII.
