There’s still time to visit the Choose Love store

— by Alyson Walsh

The aim of the Choose Love pop-up store on Broadwick Street, London is that you go home empty-handed, for a good cause. Open until the end of January it’s the brainchild of charity organisation Help Refugees. I popped in yesterday and on display in the shop are lifejackets, food, clothing, tents, blankets: real products for refugees. The idea is that shoppers pay a certain amount –  an emergency blanket is £10, a lifejacket is £40, the entire shop is available for £499 – and in return a similar item is gifted to a refugee. Customers can actually leave the store with an empty bag for life, a full heart and a clear conscience, though I might go back for a Katharine Hamnett sweatshirt.

Katharine Hamnett’s Choose Love slogan t-shirts are available online HERE.
