More ways to wear khaki green
I’ve gone khaki crazy. Or is it olive, forest, army green? Some people are calling it ‘herb’ but that’s a bit lazy – which one? It’s definitely more parsley than sage. The many shades of military are a good way to manouevre into autumn. This is the new neutral. The colour of the season, the colour of every season. A wardrobe essential to go with denim, brights, animal print or full-on head-to-toe. Double khaki with a flash of turquoise, Casual Glamour with metallic shoes or chandelier earrings, Larky Khaki with lashings of leopard print. So many style possibilities, so little Photoshop talent…
On my hit list is this Autograph belted shirt dress, available HERE.
The lovely Cara ankle boot, from Jigsaw available HERE. Jigsaw also has a good selection of army green silk shirts and t-shirts and I’ve got my eye on J.Crew’s Martie Pants and cashmere. Last week, I was walking past Banana Republic when I saw this olive green military shirt in the window. I was straight in there like a marine on a mission. The heavier (but not too heavy) cotton drill works perfectly instead of a jacket when the weather’s a bit temperamental. I’ve worn it for so many days on the trot, Mr TNMA is starting to worry.
Here’s some more khaki for consideration:
Mr GSL is starting to worry too AW. Maybe it’s time we de-militarize green into a retro Make Love Not War Olive.
These are very fine selections, esp the JC trench and belted shirt-dress, and every olive shade displayed pleases this keen eye.
Perhaps you & Mr TNMA can think of other ways to channel your jack-booted longings…
