Quote of the week: India Knight
What a fantastic week it’s been for Ageless Style. Selfridges launched their Bright Old Things campaign, next came St Joan of Céline and finally the unveiling of Joni Mitchell for Saint Laurent Paris.
Journalist and author of In Your Prime, India Knight has written a marvellous piece about the fashion industry putting age before beauty in the Sunday Times today. I love what she says about the superficial side of the business and frivolous nonsense like the Victoria’s Secret Angels:
‘As a woman in her prime, I’m impervious to advertising that shows me that I, too, could look like a 20-year-old ninny.’
Oh and for those who asked, here are a couple of images from the Selfridges launch. I must remember to take a proper camera with me, instead of just using my phone for Instagram (and then faffing around when I only have enough space for two photos). Sue Kreitzman told me that Selfridges said her’s was one of the best window displays, ever. And there’s more information about all the Bright Old Things online HERE.

With all these amazing, inspirational women around who wants to look like a 20-year-old ninny?
