It’s still Fashion Revolution Week. After the panel discussion at the V&A, I bumped into Bumni a stylist friend who always wears a mixture of small independent designers and carefully chosen high street pieces. Who made her clothes? Who made my clothes? The jacket is an old Paul Smith navy blazer, the silk top is Cedric Charlier (sale bargain) and the cargo pants are hardwearing, men’s workwear from Stan Ray. My earrings are by Drift and made from fragments of sea glass, on my feet I had Veja fair trade trainers. My advice, as always, is to opt for style over fashion. Choose carefully, take care of clothes and hold onto them for as long as you can.
