We’re having a quiet, minimalist Christmas at That’s Not My Age Mansions and are just about ready to hunker down with a box set and a bag of shortbread biscuits. Let the lolling begin! Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback this year; I’m always delighted when readers take the time to write comments and come along to book events. It’s been a hectic, transitional year – not just politically – with leaving my part-time job at university to go fully freelance and launch Know Your Style, but your loyalty and feedback make it all worthwhile. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you’re going, have a wonderful holiday and a peaceful 2018.

With love from, Alyson x

  1. Thanks Alyson, for inviting me onto That’s Not My Age again this year, it’s been a pleasure. Have a great Christmas, happy holidays and here’s to a calmer, kinder and happier 2018 for everyone. With love, Elaine

  2. Hi thanks
All said previously, but thanks so much for the inspirational blogs ( a life saver here in the wilds of rural Brittany!), and the book ( which is wrapped up for me to enjoy tomorrow!). Happy Christmas to you & your family and all the best for 2018. Xx

  3. Happy Christmas Alyson, I haven’t been following for very long, but you have completely revolutionised my wardrobe by helping me identify my style tribe (glamorous tomboy/ occasional gentlewoman). I am now shopping less, but with intention and precision and enjoying it. Thanks for all the interesting posts and best wishes to you and your readers.

  4. Happy Holidays Alyson from Homer, Alaska – your articles add another perspective and some good clothing hints. Navy is the new black!

  5. Another successful year! Thank you for helping us be the best we can be and believing age is just a number. Have a wonderful
Christmas, whatever you are doing to celebrate.
Merry Christmas to you & yours from Canada!

  6. Best wishes for a very happy Christmas. Enjoy a wonderful lolling day. We have been having very hot weather here in Sydney, Australia – yesterday was 40+ degrees – way too hot so lolling is definitely on the agenda. 2017 has been a very mixed year but one of its delights for me has been discovering your blog. I enjoy reading it very much & look forward to read to lots more. Merry Christmas.

  7. I can’t quite decide if 2017 was good or bad – a curate’s egg indeed. I do know reading interesting thoughts and ideas and being optimistic about age and the future makes everything seem more manageable so Thank You for your blog and a very Merry Christmas to you and all followers. Loll away.

  8. Happy lolling Christmas, Alyson. Know Your Style is terrific. I raced through it the first time and now keep it on my bedside table for more leisurely reads. Such fun to hear what all those interesting women have to say.

  9. Merry Christmas Alyson, Your holiday plan sounds perfect! All the best to you in the New Year, I’m so happy to have met you and hope we meet again in the coming year. Love your latest book by the way and blog! Jolain

  10. Happy Christmas Alyson from Downunder. I love reading your blog and your books. Reading about the wonderful women you interview is so inspiring. Thank you and best wishes for 2018.

  11. Happy Christmas, Alyson! Ours here in Portland will be quiet too, as (for the first time) none of our (adult) children will be joining us. Although it rarely snows here, it started snowing this morning (December 24) and has snowed intermittently throughout the day, so we will have the joy of a White Christmas. Thank you for your always-inspiring blog, Leslie

  12. Happy Christmas to you and Mr TNMA – and all readers and contributors. I love to see a post in my inbox and look forward to more in 2018. We’re having a quiet Christmas too as the grandchildren have been invited to Lapland – lots of pix via email of them rolling in the snow!

  13. Merry Christmas! I plan to loll later with my cats and a pre recorded murder mystery on the telly when my family go out to visit relatives. Here’s to more style inspiration in 2018!

  14. Wishing you all the best for this holiday season and for 2018!

Thank you for your blog and books that have enriched our lives this year. Fashion may be frivolous, but it does save our sanity ! And then there’s all the rest, inspiring women, events to visit etc etc.
Also hope there will be another book in the pipeline sometime soon !

  16. Happy Christmas Alyson. I hope you are having a restful time and enjoying your boxset. We’re watching Godless on Netflix which is brilliant and the costumes are excellent. Look forward to reading you in in the coming year.
