How to take winter colours through to spring

How to take winter colours through to spring

The beautiful burgundy and forest green combination has become an everyday favourite. So much so, I’m considering moving the pairing into spring. Swapping wool, cashmere and heavy cotton drill for lighter layers, and eventually when summer comes, loose-fitting cotton and silk. Both these shades make good wardrobe foundations – as versatile as navy or black – and should not be restricted to the winter months. Yep, this perennially stylish colour combo works all-year-round.

STYLE NOTES:

The Gap coated jeans from a previous collaboration are now reduced ( there are still some sizes available HERE ). The cashmere roll neck I bought in the Chinti & Parker sale. My old boots are from Solovair and the ‘ Withnail & I’ coat is an old favourite from Harris Wharf. The green jacket underneath was a gift from Toast, last year. (Kin at John Lewis has a similar style in cobalt blue). My ring is from a Claire Stratton sample sale. The saddle bag was a gift from sustainable brand LPOL.
