I have only ever owned one car, a vintage Triumph in the early 1990s; fast-forward to 2021 and obviously the technology had significantly moved on. My variegated grey hair
Quite honestly, my hair feels sleeker and smoother – almost as if a professional hairdresser has given me a blow-dry, or conditioning treatment. The hairdryer has four different settings: care, fast, soft and style. I’m mainly using ‘soft’ and ‘care,’ as I don’t do much in the way of styling (!) The issue I have is that I’ve got variegated hair with attitude. The grey growth is patchy and over the last few years, I have noticed that there is more greyness in the mid-section of my hair, underneath. This behaves differently to the darker strands on top.
Having a different texture, the grey hair doesn’t always lie flat and can be quite unruly. Particularly after blow-drying. This situation is worse in summer and when conditions are hot and humid – but the Zuvi drys at a lower temperature using light energy and warm air. The errant strands are smoothed out and make my hair feel softer, silkier and less fly-away.

At over £300 although I totally understand that many people would invest in this amazing hairdryer I really couldn’t justify the expense. I don’t doubt for a moment that is produces fabulous results but my face is less than fabulous and you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear!

Oh Bev, you always make me smile! From your other comments, I suspect you have a wonderful style which far, far outweighs any sow’s ears – though I doubt that that is how anyone would see you! Like you, I’d need to think long and hard about the expense of this, especially as my recalcitrant hair requires the best straighteners going, whatever the dryer does or doesn’t do. I am prepared to spend a bit of time on my hair once a day, first thing, as it can make a huge difference and perk me up, requiring nothing further.

May I ask if it’s very noisy? I like to dry my hair and listen to the radio! With my Dyson hairdryer I have to turn up the volume on the radio and hope that my neighbours next door are not disturbed!

I invested in a Zuvi last year, and my hair has never looked and felt better. The light energy prevents my scalp burning as with normal hot hairdryers. It’s an investment, yes , but so worth it if you have a sensitive scalp.

I’ve got the cheapest and best, or the best and the cheapest hair dryer going: fresh air! I have never mastered the art of using one so just literally wash-and-go. A good shampoo and occasional conditioner, a smooth-through with a detangling brush and voila! Done and dusted and cheap as chips! The only time my hair feels the heat is after its trim every couple of months.

you are right – my grey hair feels so much softer if I let it dry naturally in the air. The only issue is it takes more time to dry, so no last minute before you catch a train!

Great review – I was tempted after reading it and persuaded after spotting all discounts making it < £160 – heres hoping for a shinier, sleeker finish on my 50 + aging hair !!

Has anyone compared it to a Dyson? I am sure it is massively better than a more traditional dryer, but how does it compare to the Dyson?

Have taken the plunge and spent nearly £200 on a hairdryer :O Time will tell if it’s been worth it.
