Casual Glamour: Orla Kiely for Clarks

Orla Kiely’s last collection for Clarks launches today and the Casual Glamourpuss in me is always happy to step over to the sparkly side. Perfect with Prada-inspired cropped trousers and a neat jacket or charcoal opaque tights and a navy dress; the retro seventies-styling feels just right for now. The platforms are fantastic but I’m more likely to go for the gold and navy mid-heels or flats, this is Orla Kiely and so the shoes come in a range of colours, with some more sedate ankle boots for those tomboy-with-a-twist days.

Also, out this week is the latest Ines de la Fressange Uniqlo collaboration. There’s plenty of corduroy and tweed, so the feeling is more English Heritage than Parisian Chic. The navy corduroy blazer is my personal choice and I can see it now with dark indigo jeans and a pair of sparkly shoes. Better hurry though, as always, the Ines de la Fressange collection is selling like hot croissants.

I like them so much,just something I was thinking about,like Prada but flat,or mid-heel!I hope they will last to October when I’m going to London,I couln’t order shoes without trying them on,and there are almost no possibility that they will reach our shop in Zagreb

The Ines de la Fressange line for Uniqlo certainly is selling fast…all four items I looked at a jacket, tunic, dress and tee) are sold out in my size (and most others)!

Sorry the Orla Kiely shoes are not for me….at 54 I really don’t think I can or want to carry off the little girl look .
I have seen some lovely pointed flats in Clarks which are definitely on my Autumn shopping list..I love that they actually do half sizes!

I am looking for a pair of these Orla keilley Angelina got led shoes in a size 8 I know it’s a lob shot, but do you have any idea where I could get my hands on a pair, it’s for a wedding.
