Lounging around in style
It might have something to do with my age but I love staying in. Hibernating is particularly enjoyable at this time of year. Fortunately, for my latest collaboration with UNIQLO, the brand asked me to focus on their loungewear, sweatshirts and joggers. And so, what I wear at home has just had a serious upgrade. It only seems like a small improvement but I can’t tell you how much better I feel. This winter I am lounging around in style. Gone are the saggy, black leggings, I’ve moved onto the AIRism soft flared style (these super-cool leggings are also available in a versatile wine colour). They have the right amount of stretch and look chic teamed with a soft cashmere sweater (KLAXON: Uniqlo’s cashmere is currently on sale).
Having a small selection of loungewear to change into for an evening indoors does feel quite luxurious, but as I’m still WFH a lot of the time, it’s psychologically beneficial to make a switch at the end of the day. Plus, the lovely, soft fabrics and easy-to-wear designs mean I’m relaxing in comfort. Mr That’s Not My Age has been encouraged to ditch the old Rolling Stones sweatshirt and get with the loungewear programme.
I feel as snug as a bug in the Heat Tech pile lined joggers with a fleecy lining. They’ve been a revelation and I’m going to try them out on my bike just as soon as my puncture is mended. Oh and I seem to have acquired another Round Mini Shoulder Bag. Honestly, I’ve used one every day since my introduction in December. This handy accessory is now available in a wider range of colours. Tempting.

Loving the autumn colour way and it does suit you well. I find that layers work so much better for keeping warm than one heavy item and Uniqlo items form a great deal of my work from home wardrobe. I bought Hubster some Heattech items for Christmas and he asked for some more, as he loved them so much, so worth looking at Uniqlo for all the members of the family. A sizing tip, check the comments and the actual measurements on items, as they really can vary hugely. Me, I just ordered a couple of shirts in the sale and am wearing, as I type, a cosy button up top from at least three years ago, so the items wash and last well too.
