Subscriber giveaway: Win a brilliant British bag from Zatchels

— by Alyson Walsh

Zatchels tote bags

This year more than ever, I’ve felt the need to support small businesses and a renewed sense of responsibility about where I shop. Struggling high street retailers make the headlines but we barely hear a peep about smaller independent labels… Zatchels is another brilliant British bag brand, committed to UK manufacturing and considerate consumption, and all styles are handmade to order in the Leicester-based factory. As an end of 2020 treat, Zatchels is offering three lucky That’s Not My Age Patreon subscribers the chance to win a leather bag of their choice. I’ve been browsing the online store and there are loads of lovely bags, including handy cross-body styles, simple saddle bags and timeless leather shoppers, all available in a huge array of colours from understated neutrals to outstanding brights. As someone who prefers chic to shouty, I’m unusually drawn to the handmade twist lock shopper in fluorescent, Borneo yellow. Obviously hankering after the mood-boosting properties of colour, again. Designed to be fuss-free and functional, all the bags are made with thick hard-wearing leather and hand-stitched together into sturdy shapes. Most styles can be personalised, too, if That Is Your Bag.

To enter all you have to do is to comment below with your choice of bag. This competition is open to all subscribers, including international readers (hooray!) and it closes on Monday 28th December. Zatchels bags are made to order and take five days, so winners will receive their bags before the end of January. Good luck one and all.
