See you on Saturday at TNMA: LIVE!

— by Alyson Walsh

Three days to go until TNMA: LIVE! Thanks to all those who have booked tickets for our super-stylish afternoon – I can’t wait to meet you in person. Bringing That’s Not My Age to life has been on my wish-list for some time and I’m looking forward to a series of excellent conversations with like-minded women, at the Fashion and Textile Museum in Bermondsey. If you haven’t got your ticket yet, there are still a few left, HERE, now is your last chance to get in on the action!

Claire Fuller

A quick reminder: the That’s Not My Age extravaganza kicks-off with ‘ Book Club’; and I am absolutely delighted to host acclaimed author Claire Fuller in conversation with Fleur Sinclair, president of the Booksellers Association and Sevenoaks Bookshop owner. The pair will be chatting about their favourite titles, reviewing the latest unputdownable books by midlife women and discussing why it’s so important to support writers. There will also be an opportunity to have your books signed by Claire, and purchase titles from an exclusive TNMA-edit of books ( created by Claire and Fleur). Exciting.

After a quick break for tea and biscuits, I’ll be hosting a panel discussion with Rebi Merilion, co-founder of Mrs Robinson Management model agency, fashion psychologist Professor Carolyn Mair, and co-founder of Balance Me skincare, Rebecca Hopkins. Together we’ll discuss ageing and visibility, dressing with confidence, changing careers and finding self-acceptance at 50-plus. Each of these women have forged a successful career in the style or lifestyle industries, and I can’t wait to hear their thoughts and insights.

In the final Style Session, Jo Hooper founder of NRBY clothing and designer Tracey Boyd will talk us through their beautiful summer collection inspired by southern Portugal – and offer expert advice on how building the perfect summer wardrobe and the power of colour.

Then, we will all raise a glass of prosecco and be given an exclusive, after-hours view of the new exhibition Textiles: The Art of Mankind, introduced by a member of the Fashion and Textile Museum’s team. This latest show celebrates ‘the relationship between textiles, humanity and the world we inhabit’. Examining the evolution of textiles, from ancient to modern, the exhibition considers how craft and creativity help to connect people. Sounds fascinating.

Make the most of your day by exploring the local area around Bermondsey Street and the historic Shad Thames area. More ideas for places to eat, what to see and art galleries to visit, HERE.

To top it all off, each guest will leave with a lovely goody bag. It will be an unforgettable day and I’m excited already. The last few tickets are available HERE. Don’t miss out!

Thank you to our sponsors Grenson, NRBY and Balance Me – without their backing we simply could not have put on this wonderful event.

See you on Saturday. All I’ve got to do now is figure out what to wear…
