Helen Mirren’s gloves
OK, so initially I wasn’t overly keen on Helen Mirren accessorizing her gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana dress with leather gloves, but three days is a long time in fashion. Since I discovered they were made by Irish designer, Paula Rowan (an expert in, ahem, ‘glovemaking’), I’ve spent an awful lot of time cruising the website and have come to the conclusion that if I owned a pair, I wouldn’t want to take them off either.
Here are some of my favourites:
Gotta love the animal print, though I can imagine Ines de la Fressange in chic navy leather.
And, I’d quite like to find this elbow-length sheepskin pair in my Christmas stocking. Cosy.
Paula Rowan has a pair of black studded leather men’s gloves (I know, I’ll say no more) called Ronnie Wood, so I think it’s about time Helen Mirren had a style named after her. Don’t you?

I love gloves. I live in Scotland where they're not so much a fashion accessory, but a requirement to ward off hypothermia!

Oh yes they are definitely VERY lovely especially the long sheepskin ones. Rather partial to a leather glove in colour too myself. And love DHM dress in your previous post – so agree we NEED more dresses with sleeves…! X

I'm a fan of leather gloves – can never get enough. My favourite are a maroon pair of pigskin leather of mothers which I've now acquired – the leather is unbelievably soft and the stitching is exquisite.May the peace and joy of Christmas be with you and your family in 2012. Bisous
They are all gorgeous but I love the animal print gloves best.

What a lovely selection of gloves especially the animal print. Gloves really finish an outfit as well as keeping hands warm.
